Aid for COVID-19 Testing
We are fundraising for the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research (KCCR), which is the
diagnostic centre for COVID-19. They serve the middle and northern parts of Ghana and
are assisting in the testing regime to combat the elimination of the disease. During this unprecendented time,
we wanted to make it a priority to help as many people be diagnosed and have access to treatment as possible. This is a small
contribution in the scale of work being done but hopefully a little help in diagnosis and eventual
recovery of affected people.
Completed Projects
Provision of Clean Drinking Water
Safe, affordable, and accessible water and sanitation are indispensable reqirements for anyone to be able to live a healthy, dignified, and productive life.
Unfortunately, this was lacking upon a tour of the Charity home and is a problem that is still prevalent in some parts of Ghana. This was one
of the initial projects embarked upon by JAMfund as a priority for the health and general well being of all residents
and visitors to the site. The built water tank, under free maintenance service, now provides clean water for essential cooking,
washing and everyday use. We are hoping to use this blueprint to provide this neccessity to other less fortunate people.
Tour of Regional Attractions - Kumasi Zoo and Military Museum
We made a promise to the kids of the All Nations Charity Home that we would treat them to a day trip of their choice. During the vote, the options of visiting
the Kumasi Zoo or Armed Forces Museum were the final two and close in voting so we decided to take them to both in a day! It was a fun yet educational trip as the kids got to see
their favourite animals in person and learned about the history of the Ghanaian Military who fought for our country. It was a first for most of the children, not to mention the coach
drive, and their excitement was accompanied by good behaviour throughout the day. Hopefully, we can take them or others on similar trips to bring smiles to their faces.
